| 1. From the controil panel double click on the regional options icon, on the Regional Options window on the General tab and under the "Language settings for the system" box, select Thai and then click ok. After it finishes installing please reboot when it asks you to reboot. |

| 2. After the computer reboots go back to the Regional Settings window and go to the Input Locales tab. Click on the Add button. |

| 3. When the Add Input Locale window opens, under Keyboard layout/IME select Thai Kedmanee and click OK. |

| 4. You should now see the ThaiKedmanee layout in the list below now. Click Ok to close it out for now. |

| 5. Click on the image below or the lao_key link to download the Lao Unicode Keyboard Layout for 2005 and install it. Just say yes for anything it asks you. You will be required to reboot after you install it. |

| 6. After reboot. Repeat steps 1, 2, and 3 again. But on step three, select Lao Unicode Keyboard 2005 then click OK. |

| 7. You should now see it as the 3rd item in the list. Click OK to close out. |

| 8. To use the new keyboard layout. click on the blue EN next to your clock on the toolbar and select the keyboard you would like to type with. or you can hold down ALt and click shift to change through different layouts. |
